Assam Government Job Openings

Introduction

The Government of Assam is inviting online applications for about 5000 tentative Class-III and Class-IV posts in various departments. The recruitment is governed by The Assam Direct Recruitment Commission for Analogous Posts in Class-III and Class-IV Act, 2021, and the rules of 2022. Candidates should be Indian citizens and registered with the Assam State Employment Exchange.

Educational Requirements for Class-IV Posts

There are three categories of qualifications:

1. HSLC (Class Ten) or equivalent – 1060 vacancies
2. HSLC with ITI certificate in specific trades like wireman, electrician, etc. – 1990 vacancies
3. Up to Class-VIII – 1950 vacancies
   Note: The highest educational qualification allowed is HSSLC (Class-12).

Age Criteria

Candidates should be between 18 to 40 years old as of January 1, 2023. Age relaxations are as follows:

• 5 years for SC/ST candidates
• 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates
• 2 years for Ex-Servicemen
• 10 years for PwBD (Persons with Disabilities)

Application Procedure

• There is no application fee for any category.
• Apply online through either www.assam.gov.in or www.sebaonline.org.
• Applications are open from November 10, 2023, to December 29, 2023.

Required Documents

Candidates must upload:

• A recent passport-size photograph
• A scanned copy of their signature

Selection Process

Selection will involve two stages: a written test and an interview. Details of the examination will be published at least one week before the test date.

Other Key Points

• Government employees should produce a No Objection Certificate during the interview.
• No travel or daily allowances will be provided for attending the written test or interview.
• The Commission has the right to alter or cancel any part or the entire recruitment process without giving any reason.
